Frequently Asked Questions

When is it safe to return to working out?

Ask your doctor for their specific recommendations, but the general guideline is 6 weeks postpartum.

I never worked out before/during pregnancy, is this still for me?

Even more reason to start now! Our workouts are tailored to each mom. We can make them easier or harder depending on your fitness level and where you're in your postpartum journey

Do I have to bring my child?

Craving a little dedicated Mom time? You can absolutely come solo.

 When are classes held?

Monday, Wednesday, Friday

10:00-10:45AM

What is the baby age range?

Babies should be anywhere from 6-8 weeks to 6 months for this program.

Can my child come to class?

Yes! This is designed as a "Mommy and Me" class where your little one can hang out with you while you workout. Unfortunately, toddlers or babies that are aggressive crawlers may not attend due to safety concerns.

What is a typical class like?

The 45-minute class is broken up into thirds:

Stretch – Warm Up – Workout.

The coach starts with guided breathing, stretching, or pelvic floor work. Next, the coach will teach movements for the workout. Once the class is warmed up, the workout will begin.

What if I am unable to do all the movements?

Not possible! Every movement has multiple scaling options to accommodate every ability level, injury, or limitation. The number one priority is safety, followed by making sure everyone is comfortable and having fun!

Sometimes I am exhausted. Is the class hard?

This program is designed as a gentle return to fitness after giving birth (natural or C-Section). It begins with a lot of attention to pelvic floor healing, learning your new diaphragm, and building foundational posture and functional movement patterns. The intensity of the class slowly progresses as you get stronger and feel more confident in the movements. Even if you are tired, come! Enjoy getting out of the house and sharing your experiences with the other moms.

What if I have no fitness experience?

No problem! The program is designed for a gentle return to fitness. Whether you have experience or not, all movements can be scaled to meet you where you are at.

What are the benefits of this program?

Surprisingly, the social and peer support benefits outweigh the fitness benefits. Picture yourself in a loving family of moms all going through the same challenges and milestones. The workout is a bonus!

What if my baby is fussy, hungry, or needs changing?

That's the beauty of an all-Moms class; we understand blowouts happen, children need to be fed, or held, or talked to. Feel free to pause at any moment and tend to your baby. You will have a mat in your space and your baby will always remain beside you. Feed them, change them, and soothe them. You will always have an opportunity to include your baby in the workout if they are having a fussy day. Even colicky babies love the music and fans – it is white noise gold!

What should I bring?

A water bottle, comfortable gym clothes, and indoor shoes. Feel free to bring your baby in their bucket seat/stroller. Some moms bring bouncy

seats, sit-up seats, or exersaucers (the gym also has a few of each to share).

What happens after 12 weeks?

The 12-week MomFit program will naturally phase into Mom Strong. The first 12 weeks are spent focusing on healing and gently returning to fitness. Mom Strong is a continuation that focuses less on the pelvic floor and more on developing the

movements and skills learned in MomFit. This also allows our gym to welcome a new group of postpartum moms every three months.

Can I bring my older child to the program?

For safety reasons, we have a strict No Toddler rule. Our program welcomes babies 0-18 months old so mothers can enjoy the program for the duration of their maternity leave. However, arrangements can be made with the coach to have your school-age child sit beside you during a class.
